Month: February 2017

mass extinction

all the empty beds
standing on end

geology, Ordovician–Silurian extinction events, stones

Walking in the snow,

one feels at times barely tethered to the earth.

leaves, snow

wetlands in winter

I crush another cathedral
with every step

ice, snow

clouds in our airspace

and all this immigrant snow
clinging to our land

clouds, snow

spelling out fences

the immaculate ignorance
of snow

snow, trees
