I had this haiku all done yesterday, before a probably very different Louisiana waterthrush sang his way into today’s Morning Porch entry. They generally don’t come up around the houses; down at the bottom of the hollow, where the gravel pile is located, it’s much more common to hear their brassy, energetic songs.
