a powerline’s procession of crosses
*
I’m not sure how many people of Christian heritage retain any notion of Christmastide as a liturgical season ending on Twelfth Night/Epiphany Eve. Seeing how many folks take down their trees a few days after Christmas, I’m guessing not many. But even as a secularized holiday, that feeling of a between-time does still continue a few days past New Year’s, I think. Today was my biweekly grocery shopping run, and the stores were still mostly empty of customers. Then had a relaxing visit with an old friend on the way home. Looking forward to the Feast of the Epiphany now, as one does.
