I live in an Appalachian hollow in the Juniata watershed of central Pennsylvania, and spend a great deal of time walking in the woods. My books of poetry include FAILED STATE: HAIBUN, ICE MOUNTAIN: AN ELEGY, BREAKDOWN: BANJO POEMS, and ODES TO TOOLS.

the theme for this blog is lovely, and not slow-loading at all! i’m really enjoying the haikus.
and this particular photo is a perfect moment.
Thanks for your kind words. I think the home page style might be a little tedious for people on slower connections; it’s marginally tolerable for me at 1M/sec download speed. But I hate to complain about it because it’s such a terrrific theme both technically and aesthetically, and though free is higher-quality than most of the photoblog themes they charge money for.
