I’m not satisfied with this haiku, but it will do for now. Another draft began “street art gliding past our lonely crossing” but that was too awkward on the tongue. Plus I wanted the seasonal reference… though that ends up making the image seem rather redundant. Which redundancy I leaned into by positioning the haiku on the other track. Which may be entirely too cute.
